Asset Management

Every laptop, device and piece of kit — who has it, what condition it’s in, and when the warranty runs out.

The problem

Company assets drift. The register is a spreadsheet from two laptops ago, nobody is sure who has which device, warranties expire unnoticed, and when someone leaves there’s no record of what they were issued — let alone what condition it was in.

How we solve it

ASHR.work keeps a real asset register: categories, asset tags and serials, purchase and warranty dates with expiries surfaced before they lapse. Assign and return flows capture condition both ways, employees acknowledge receipt, and every asset carries its own event timeline — so the history is never in dispute.

How it works

  1. 1

    Register your assets

Add assets with categories, asset tags and serial numbers, plus purchase and warranty details. Upcoming warranty expiries are surfaced automatically.

  2. 2

    Assign with acknowledgement

Issue an asset to an employee with its condition captured; the employee acknowledges receipt, so issuance is on the record.

  3. 3

    Return and review

Returns capture condition again, every event lands on the asset’s timeline, and the stats dashboard shows the fleet at a glance.

Why it’s effective

No more mystery laptops

A live register with tags, serials and assignees replaces the spreadsheet nobody trusts.

Condition, on the record

Capturing condition at issue and at return — with employee acknowledgement — ends the "it was already scratched" argument.

Warranties that don’t lapse silently

Expiry surfacing means warranty and purchase dates actually get used, not just stored.

Frequently asked

How are assets tracked?
An asset register lets you assign laptops and equipment to people, track them by category, and recover them on exit, with a full event history per asset.
What do employees see?
Everything currently assigned to them, with serial, condition and expected return date — and a one-tap Acknowledge receipt so handover is on record. Warranty reminders help admins stay ahead of renewals.
Can employees request an asset?
Yes — anyone can request an asset from the Assets page, saying what they need and why. An admin approves or declines it, then fulfils an approved request by assigning real kit, which the employee acknowledges as usual.
